Golden Hour Earrings
Clear sea glass earrings with garnet set in rose gold
These special earrings were inspired by the Golden Hour. This is a period of daytime shortly before sunset, during which the light is redder and softer than usual. Some white clouds are moving lazily along the horizon, framed by a pink glow. I set the lovely sea glass shards in rose (red) gold and added a sparkle with a lovely garnet gemstone on each piece that dangles around happily. All the sea glass stems from the shores of the Eastern Mediterranean in Israel. The earrings belong to my collection "Maritime Gold".
Sea glass - the gem from the ocean - takes dozens and even hundreds of years, to acquire its characteristic texture and round shape. Tumbled by the waves, the glass loses its shiny surface and slowly gets the frosted look that makes it so unique. Sea glass is considered rare all over the world.
