Love and the Sea Necklace
Beaded necklace with sea glass and gold elements on silver tubes
I always enjoy a day at the sea - best when spent with a loved one. This is what this necklace reminds me of. I used two rare pieces of genuine sea glass for it: red and smashing turquoise. They are set in fine silver soldered on sterling silver tubes. The other tubes are decorated with 9 carat yellow gold elements. Everything dangles on a snake chain.
Sea glass - the gem from the ocean - takes dozens and even hundreds of years, to acquire its characteristic texture and round shape. Tumbled by the waves, the glass loses its shiny surface and slowly gets the frosted look that makes it so unique. Sea glass is considered rare all over the world.
