Love and the Sea II Necklace
Beaded necklace with sea glass and gemstone
I always enjoy a day at the sea - best when spent with a loved one. This is what this necklace reminds me of. I used extremely rare pieces of genuine sea glass for it: red, smashing turquoise, electric blue and light green. A cute Citrine gemstone resembles the sand.
The beads are set in fine silver. Everything dangles on a bar with dots made of reclaimed sterling silver and is connected to a silver snake chain.
The necklace belongs to my ocean lover collection "After the storm".
Sea glass or beach glass - the gem from the ocean - takes dozens and even hundreds of years, to acquire its characteristic texture and round shape. Tumbled by the waves, the glass loses its shiny surface and slowly gets the frosted look that makes it so unique. Sea glass is considered rare all over the world. I guarantee that I use only genuine shards of sea glass and sea pottery for my jewelry.
